SERVE: NATIONAL

As followers of Jesus Christ, we are called to reach out to our brothers and sisters in Christ – to be the face of Jesus to those who are sick, hungry, poor, or facing other desperate circumstances. In a very real way, the church of Jesus Christ has been given the task of carrying on his ministry, following his example into the lives of our neighbors, both here and abroad.

Below, please find a list of Hope’s short-term mission opportunities, along with a list of all of our national mission partners, and prayerfully consider how God might be calling you to serve in the coming year!

Mission Appalachia
Mission ASPThe Appalachia Service Project is a Christian home repair ministry where volunteers and staff repair homes for low-income families in rural Central Appalachia. The goal is to make homes warmer, safer and drier, while offering transformational experiences for volunteers and families alike.

Mission Lakota
Mission LakotaOn Mission Lakota, missionaries travel to Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota, where they experience what true reservation life is like. Historically, Native people have been underrepresented and underserved in mainstream America. Our desire is to affirm, respect and embrace the God-given cultural realities of Native American people, through authentic relationships and culturally supportive programs, instead of rejecting or demonizing their sacred cultural ways. Activities on the Rosebud Reservation include interacting with at-risk youth, lessons on Native history and worship at a local church.

Mission Navajo
Mission NavajoMission Navajo is an opportunity to serve the people of Navajo nation by coming alongside them and helping with both their physical and spiritual needs. Missionaries travel to Gallup, New Mexico to assist with work projects, discipleship, spiritual uplifting, and Vacation Bible School lessons, on and around Navajo nation.
