Lutheran Church of Hope is a multi-site church based in West Des Moines, Iowa, with six campuses, a thriving online community, as well as several Hope Local Sites throughout the Midwest. Whether you’re looking for an in-person or online worship experience, contemporary or traditional services, large worship spaces that seat 2,500 people or more intimate settings that seat 100, Hope has a seat waiting for you and an awesome community of believers who are ready to welcome you! Hope has campuses in West Des Moines, Ames, Ankeny, Des Moines (Hope+Elim), Grimes and Waukee in addition to Hope Online and eight Hope Local Sites across the Midwest. Each campus shares the same mission, to reach out to the world around us and share the everlasting love of Jesus Christ, but is uniquely different in how they live that out through various forms of worship, ministry, prayer and service in the community and beyond.

God didn’t wire us up to do life alone. In fact, he wired us up to do life together! And there are several ways for you to do just that at Hope! At first glance, Hope may seem like a big place, but if you take a look around, you’ll quickly see we have hundreds of ways for you to find a smaller community – whether through taking a class, joining a group, volunteering on a team or at weekly worship!

Hope offers hundreds of classes across all of our campuses and various events throughout the year! Whether you are young or old, new to Christianity or you’ve been a Christian your whole life, looking for an in-person class or something online, we’ve got something for you!
Volunteer at Hope
Come use your spiritual gifts, build friendships and make a difference by serving the church and community through volunteering at Hope. Each of Hope’s locations have specific volunteer needs and very much appreciate your help!
Find a Group
“We’re better together!” We tend to say that a lot around here. And, we say it because it’s true. We were created to live in community with one another. Hope groups, activity-based groups and volunteer groups are all great ways to do just that!
