Field of Hope Goals

Weekly Worship

  • Inspiration: Worship is a spiritual exercise for the body of Christ and a time for intimacy with God, healing for the hurt, sanctuary from the chaos, water for dry bones and spiritual food for the soul; a Holy Spirit hangout, hospital for sinners, a place of renewal and holy ground.

  • Sundays, 9:30 am in the Ames City Auditorium

Attend a Field Meeting

  • Connection: To learn about the vision and mission of Hope Ames, and how you can participate in achieving the goals of the “Field of Hope” campaign, and to give the people and families of Hope an opportunity to connect with one another.

  • Option #1: You can attend a 45-minute in-person Field Meeting immediately following worship on Sunday, Nov. 7 or Sunday, Nov. 14 in the Ames City Auditorium.
  • Option #2: You can attend a 45-minute online Zoom Field Meeting on Thursday, Nov. 11 at 7:00 pm or Tuesday, Nov. 16 at 7:00 pm.

  • Purpose: All of creation longs to sing praise to our Creator (Psalm 148). The natural practice of our souls is to celebrate who God is, what he has done, and what he has planned.

  • We’re planning a huge all-church party following our worship service on Sunday, Nov. 21 for the entire church family. We will provide food, enjoy community, and thank God for all the gifts and pledges offered by our church family.
  • We will reveal the total gifts and pledges on Sunday, Dec. 5 during our worship service in the Ames City Auditorium and thank God for the generosity of our congregation.

Develop a daily prayer and Scripture routine

  • Conversation: Develop more effective communication patterns and a deeper bond between you and God.
  • Revelation: Experience life-changing freedom as you immerse yourself in the living Word of God.

Discover the joy of cheerful giving

  • Liberation: Find freedom in guilt-free, pressure-free giving; not under compulsion, but cheerfully, generously, and freely!

  • Understand that everything we have belongs to God:
  • Pray
  • Wait for God to answer
  • Give as a matter of God’s revelation, not human reason
  • Give with a sense of God’s timing for the eternal impact of our gifts

Bring an offering to God through Field of Hope

  • Mission: For the sake of fulfilling our mission to “reach out to the world around us and share the everlasting love of Jesus Christ.”

  • In addition to regular general fund offerings, offer a one-time gift, and/or a three-year commitment to Field of Hope on Commitment Sunday – Nov 21.

"Don’t worry about anything; instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus."
