Good Morning Hope!
- Confirmation and New Member Weekend
- Men of Hope – Huddle
Every life makes a statement. Sometimes with words. Every time in the manner in which it is lived out. Over the past three years a group of young students, now completing 8th grade, have been learning and growing in faith in our junior high confirmation ministry called PowerLife.
And their lives have certainly made a statement - statements of belief, worship, prayer, missions, devotions, and daily living. It’s been quite a journey. Now it’s time to confirm the faith that God has given to each of them and that their parents, the church, and the community have been faithful to cultivate.
This weekend at Hope Grimes, 63 students will publicly confirm their faith at our Sunday morning services. Please give thanks to God for these students and the life God has called them into.
To make room at the Sunday morning services this weekend I want to invite those of you who do not have a confirmation student to consider worshiping at our Saturday 5:00 pm service. HopeKids also has planned a special Saturday this week for kids by bringing in 'NPink! It will be a fun-filled Saturday at HopeKids.
Vacation Bible School registration is open! Our Bible-based theme this year is Built 4 God. This is one you will want to get your kids and neighbor kids registered for soon! It’s going to be a VBS you will also want to be part of as a volunteer…sign up now for either the morning session or the evening session- or both! It’s going to be the best Jesus party ever!
Men of Hope
Finally, Men of Hope Huddle is tomorrow morning at 7:00-8:30 am at Hope in Grimes! All men are invited to come and hear Mark Nelson, a Hope member and Freedom for Youth founder, present his inspiring story of faith - you might say his faith statement. Invite a few friends and join us for a great morning.
As always - thanks for being a church that follows Jesus and who reaches out to the world around us and shares his everlasting love.
See you this weekend as we launch our new teaching series, “Book of Proverbs #ScriptureAndAMovie.”
