An article came out in the Des Moines Register the week after Easter Sunday of 2005. It read, “There was an overwhelming turnout on Easter Sunday morning at Veterans Auditorium. More than 10,000 people from Lutheran Church of Hope gathered to praise, clap, shout, laugh, do the wave, eat, drink, hug, learn, listen, pray, worship and rejoice.” (In other words, a typical Hope Easter Sunday.)
