About Our Program

About Hope Grimes Preschool Program

Hope Preschool is an engaging and empowering environment for children to learn and play. The Hope Grimes Preschool program encourages play and learning through stimulating activities while encouraging children to be caring and loving friends.

Our preschool is a loving and warm environment, that radiates the love of Jesus to your child. Our goal is for your child to experience Jesus’ love, learn how to be a loving and caring friend to others, and be in a place where learning is fun. Our teachers value and care for your children, and desire for them to grow in learning, play, faith and fun!

Classroom Learning and Play

Each day is focused around structured and unstructured activities. Our classroom encourages play through various stations including dramatic play, science and discovery, creation station, writing, blocks and building, and listening and reading.

Ways to Get Involved

We would love for parents to get involved! Parents are more than welcome to join our classroom to volunteer during the first hour of the day. We also extend the invitation to parents to read to the class or help with special events like our classroom parties. We have additional family events throughout the year including an open house in the fall, a Christmas program in December, and an exciting graduation celebration for our Pre-K and Transitional Kindergarten students in May.

Parent Communication

Weekly and monthly newsletters will be provided to parents to share events and interest areas throughout the month. Teachers will send home “conversation starters” to spark conversation with your child about what they are learning, the songs they are singing and all the exciting play they had throughout the week.

Conferences

Conferences are held between parent(s) and teacher(s) to discuss their child’s growth and all their accomplishments at school. Parent-teacher conferences are held in the spring for our 3-year-old, Pre-K and Transitional Kindergarten classes. If your child is in the 2-year-old class, no formal conferences are held. However, parents are welcome to inquire about their child’s learning at any point throughout the school year.
