Hope Des Moines Preschool
2020-2021 School Year Update:
Hope's Preschool is currently doing everything we can to be prepared for a safe return to school this fall. We are monitoring CDC guidelines and recommendations, working with our state and local officials, and instituting policies and procedures that will help us provide a safe and healthy environment for children when school begins. For children currently enrolled, we will be in touch via email as the start of the school year gets closer with more details on these new policies. In the meantime, if you or your family have any questions, please don't hesitate to email email@example.com.
Welcome to Hope Des Moines Preschool
Our goal is to provide a Christian atmosphere of learning, understanding, and caring: a place for your child to be that special, unique person that God so lovingly created, and a place where learning is fun as well as meaningful.
Our program promotes independent thinking, problem solving and self-confidence. To aid in your child growing socially, physically, and emotionally, children spend their day in active learning - interacting with real things and caring people all around them.
We believe that play is a child's joyful "work", and we offer a variety of materials to stimulate the interests and abilities of the children. We plan both structured and unstructured activities for each day. Our centers of interest include themes such as writing, dramatic play, blocks, table toys and manipulatives, science and discovery, books and listening, and a creation station. Our materials are carefully chosen to promote exploration, which allows and encourages children to think creatively and independently.
Each teacher provides a monthly newsletter, which describes the planned areas of interest throughout the month. They also send home weekly "conversation starters" to stimulate a discussion of what your child has been doing. These questions give you some specific "clues" about songs, stories, and other exciting discoveries that have occurred during their busy week.
