Hope partners with the organization called Youth With A Mission (YWAM), and for this particular trip, participates in their Missions Adventures program intended for junior high and high school students. When you participate in the Mission Adventures experience, you’ll not only see God change the lives of those you minister to, but you’ll see Him transform your own life too.

The team will have a dynamic week full of opportunities for outreach as well receiving inspiring training in discipleship – geared toward helping students realize how God is at work in their lives and being able to share their story. The week includes amazing nights of worship, a speaker, and a variety of opportunities for students to get out of their comfort zones, serve in simple and profound ways, and experience God in a different way than they may have before!

Outreach Opportunities:

  • Evangelism: This could include working with an orphanage, soup kitchen, rehab center etc. YWAM tries to meet spiritual and physical needs, so there may be some light manual labor involved.
  • Build a House: Help build a home alongside a family in need, who has taken the initial step of purchasing land but needs assistance in building a structure that is adequate for their family. *No construction experience necessary.

Since 1987, Youth With A Mission has had hundreds of thousands of participants at their locations in Baja California, Mexico. Not one of their participants has experienced an incident of violent crime.

Like in any country, there is violence in Mexico. Most of it is gang related. However, over 100,000 U.S. and Canadian residents live along the coast of Northern Baja, where both their campuses are located.

YWAM works hard to ensure that their trips are as safe as possible and appreciate the trust that many groups place in them by joining them to serve in Mexico.
