What is Mission Jamaica?
Mission Jamaica is a short-term mission experience serving youth at Robin’s Nest Children's Home. Robin’s Nest is a place of healing as many of the children have experienced malnourishment, neglect and abuse in their past.
What do we do?
Volunteers with a heart for serving children will serve in various capacities, including:
- Assisting pod parents with cleaning and chores.
- Light construction projects and repairs on Robin’s Nest grounds and facilities.
- Assisting preschool and elementary school teachers.
How do we get there?
Members of the mission team fly into Montego Bay, Jamaica. They will be greeted at the airport by representatives from Robin’s Nest and transported by van 45 minutes north to the Nest.

Where do we stay?
On-site lodging at the Nest is available to accommodate teams.
What is the cost?
Cost is $1,450*. The total cost covers airfare, food, lodging and insurance.
Passport and vaccination costs are additional.
Please note that two months before departure, at least 50 percent of the trip total must be paid. One month prior to departure, trip must be paid in full.

What travel documents do I need?

What immunizations do I need?
Currently there are no required vaccinations for travel into Jamaica. Please consult your physician on recommended vaccinations. Click here for more information about travel vaccinations.
How do I sign up?
You may apply for registration online by clicking the dates of the trip above. If you have issues with registration, please call Hope’s WDM office at 515-222-1520.
A $500 non-refundable deposit per person is due upon registration.
Once registered, background checks will be conducted by Hope on all mission trip applicants age 18 and older. This is to ensure the safety and protection of all mission team members and the people we serve.
