Have you ever wondered if there is more to life than this? Maybe you have no interest at all in Christianity. Or you are a seasoned Christian but have forgotten the basics of why you believe what you believe. That’s what has made Alpha such a helpful experience for the thousands who have attended the 9-week course and retreat weekend at Hope.

The Alpha Course
Alpha is offered at Hope West Des Moines several times a year and is an opportunity to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed, non-threatening way. No matter your background, whether you’re investigating Christianity for the first time, revisiting your faith or you just want to have an honest conversation, you can benefit from the Alpha course. Great friendships have formed, historically documented evidence is presented and questions are answered.
The class offers teaching on key questions including:
- Is Christianity boring, untrue or irrelevant?
- Who is Jesus?
- How can I be sure of my faith?
- Why and how do I pray?
- Who is the Holy Spirit?
- Does God heal today?
- How can I make the most out of the rest of my life?
