Souper Bowl Food Drive

It’s game time… and we’re not just talking football!

Here’s the game plan:

  • Run to your local grocery store for nonperishable food items (you can tackle the suggested grocery list below for the most needed items) and bring your donations with you when you come to worship on Souper Bowl weekend – Feb. 1 & 2.
  • Financial donations will also be accepted via online or check (noting "Souper Bowl Food Drive" in the memo field).

Please remember to check expiration dates on your donations as expired items cannot be donated to pantries.

Food Collection: 
Saturday & Sunday, Feb. 1 & 2

Sorting & Distributing:
Hundreds of volunteers will be needed to help sort, package and deliver donations, click here.

Souper Bowl Food Drive Hy-Vee Partnership

- Saturday, Feb. 1: 11:00 am – 7:00 pm
- Saturday, Feb. 2: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

Suggested Grocery List (NO GLASS please)

  • Baby formula, infant cereal and diapers
  • Rice (white or brown)
  • Black beans
  • Peanut Butter
  • Canned meats
  • Canned fruit
  • Canned or ready to eat meals (ravioli, stews, hash)
  • Pull top ready to eat canned foods
  • Single serve foods, snacks, granola bars, oatmeal
  • Hot / Cold Cereals (healthy grain preferred)
  • Dry pasta
  • Pasta sauces (no GLASS jars, please)
  • Pasta sides
  • Pancake Mix and syrup
  • Paper products / toiletries
  • Cleaning products
  • Detergent
  • Microwaveable meals (non-frozen variety)
  • Canned soups
  • Juice (no GLASS jars, please)
  • Pudding Cups / Fruit cups
  • Plastic cutlery, plates, napkins
